ADMISSION PROCEDURE
The Academy follows an open admission policy. Minimum age for a candidate is 20 years. Admission is on a first-come-first-served basis, based on portfolio review, and personal interview. A minimum of 15 years of formal education in any subject with a degree is required.
The Academy will consider accepting an applicant who has rare talent but does not have the specified years of formal education, provided he/she is over 20 years of age, has a passion to pursue a career in professional photography, an impressive portfolio that is evidence of talent and letters of recommendation from those who can vouch for his/her talent and commitment.
Applications open, subject to availability of seats. To apply, download the application form from our website and fill in all relevant details and send it with the following:
a) Two recent passport-size photographs in colour.
b) Portfolio of images you have shot (a minimum of 20 images - 8"x10"colour or B&W prints, on any subject or a CD of JPEG images 96 dpi, 10” width for horizontal images and 10” height for vertical images, on any one theme or a selection of images on varied subjects).
c) A non-refundable processing fee of Rs.1,000/- by way of Demand Draft favouring Light & Life Academy, payable at Ooty.

After screening the portfolio, selected candidates will be called for a personal interview at the Academy. At which time the candidate will need to bring along his / her digital camera for a test on campus. Successful candidates will be notified of their admission soon after the interview.
