Udhagamandalam: Wet and cold conditions notwithstanding many attended the graduation ceremony of the prestigious photography institute, Light and Life Academy, at Lovedale near here on Saturday.
Participating as the chief guest, the noted Cinematographer Rajiv Menon urged the student community to constantly upgrade their knowledge.
Stating that technology was rapidly changing, he said that the current trend was digital photography. Photographers should strive to make images that would transcend time. The best form of honing one’s skills was observing the work of others.
Advertising Professional R. Sridhar in his key note address said that since globalisation had taken competition to hitherto unseen heights, the youth should not be complacent. He advised them to set goals and pursue them relentlessly.
The Director, Light and Life Academy,
Anuradha Iqbal, said that 30 students had successfully completed their course. Mr. Menon presented the diplomas.
The founder Iqbal K. Mohamed and outgoing student R.Ajay also spoke. A multimedia presentation marked the occasion.
