Nathan Sigman, first exposure to Photography was at the age of twelve when he started capturing the golden foliage and indigenous wildlife of the Northeastern United States.
Nathan did his B.F.A in Studio Art with a focus in Painting and then went on to further his studies in Painting and Mixed Media at the Massachusetts College of Art, in Boston which solidified his passion for and the visual arts.
As a Painter Nathan had several shows such as at the Massachusetts College of Art, Mission Hill Painting and Sculpture Show, Jamaica Plain Invitational Painting Show, Springfield Art Center and 4 shows in San Francisco Bay area.
His love for the visual invariably attracted him to the camera. He attended the Academy of Art University, San Francisco and completed his M.F.A in Photography.
During his time in San Francisco, Nathan Sigman did food photography, covered events and festivals, model portfolios and participated in Art direction for the American Express magazine.
He also continued his personal project ‘The Locus of Self’ which was Mixed Media, using Photography. The body of work was photographically based combining paint and other media. Nathan also attended the San Francisco Studio School for Painting, Drawing, Photography and Mixed Media under the direction of Lon Clark. |
