WORKSHOPS

For Advanced Amateurs / Hobby Photographers, Practising Professional Photojournalists and students of Visual and Mass Communication, LLA offers short duration intensive workshops in specific areas of interest. The workshops cover Fundamentals of Creative Photography, Nature, Travel, Digital Capture & Post-Production, Digital Photojournalism and more. The accent here is on ‘hands-on’ training. There will be lectures, slide shows and demos and shooting sessions every day. From day two of the workshop, images from the previous day will be critiqued and feedback given, which means action packed sessions that ensure fast and continuous learning.

DIGITAL PHOTOJOURNALISM

This workshop is for the practising professional photojournalist who has been shooting professionally with a digital camera for some time. You must have the relevant knowledge of computers and should have worked with Adobe Photoshop to some extent. This course is designed to help the professional photographer make optimum use of digital technology to capture 'decisive moments'. For details

BECOMING A CREATIVE PHOTOGRAPHER

This workshop is for the serious hobby photographer. You should have been taking pictures for least a year with an SLR camera and should have a desire to learn new ways of getting more creative. This is not a fundamental course on how to handle cameras. For details

EXPLORING LIGHT

This is an advanced workshop for the serious hobbyist, who has been shooting regularly for a few years with an SLR camera. You should already have a certain level of understanding of 'Light' and have the desire to get a more indepth knowledge of its possibilities. Those of you shooting with a Digital camera (with manual settings) must have relevant computer knowledge. For details

NATURE PHOTOGRAPHY ON LOCATION

If you are a Nature lover, particularly the mountains, and have the passion to photograph the wilderness, this programme is for you. November is the end of monsoon and a wonderful time to capture the myriad moods. For details

GOING DIGITAL

This workshop is meant for the serious hobby photographer who likes to stay current with the technical advancement in photographic equipment and possibilities. It is assumed that you are already using a Digital Camera. For details

THE COMMUNICATIVE IMAGE

This five day intensive workshop is a result of requests received from faculty of various Visual & Mass Communication institutions. This workshop offers students an insight into a dedicated approach to photographic learning and exposure at an exclusive state-of-the art photography college. ELEMENTS OF CREATIVE PHOTOGRAPHY

This three-day intensive programme is designed exclusively for the students of visual / mass communication. This workshop will be leaning more towards the creative / aesthetic aspects of photography. Basics technical aspects (shutter-aperture-exposure) will also be discussed. For details
